Oceans are large seas of salt water. There are 5 oceans in the planet Earth: Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Arctic and Antarctic.

Water is mixed and there is no a division to separate oceans, but we call them like that because of their ubication.

To get to know our planet better, the researchers (cartographers) have made maps and globes about the Earth.

Globes represent our planet very well because they are spheres and thye help us to se where continents and oceans are ubicated. The problem is that globes take up a lot of space and they are heavy.

Maps represent the Earth in a flat way, not real, but they help us to understand. Also, they are easy and useful.
